MVT3K: Single Ladies
Technical difficulties continued to plague this episode, hence the late posting. As you can see, I’m experimenting with format a bit, so leave me some comments and let me know how you like it
The Flaming Lips in Five Measures
The new Music Video Theatre 3000 video originally scheduled for today has been pushed back to Thursday due to technical difficulties, but don’t think I’m leaving you high and dry!
Today we reveal the secret obsession that drives Wayne Coyne, though it’s not such a secret to anyone who’s seen the FLips stage show or movie Christmas On Mars.
MVT3K: Hooked on a Feeling
This week, Derek is subjected to a truly torturous chunk of video at the hands of Captain America Bowling Pin. With cameos from Cin and WizWar100, and commentary soon. If you feel like there’s still something missing from our design (which has been totally tweaked by yours truly) you can let me know in the comments OR on the new contact page!
Ben Folds in Five Measures
Instead of an album review (though I am working on one, an oldie but a goodie), here’s a new series based on the “Movie in Five Seconds” series on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.
First up: is it possible to distill the discography of such a talented and beloved pianist and songwriter into five simple measures? Yes. Yes it is.
MVT3K: America
In this week’s episode, Derek and Captain America Bowling Pin announce their love of country and celebrate American unity. Unfortunately, Derek’s critical nature rears its ugly head. Commentary here.
I haven’t harped on it for awhile, but remember that you can subscribe to AU by clicking on that little button in the top left corner, and comments are always appreciated! Bonus video on Thursday, probably a CD review.
Equals Awesome: Hip Hop + Dinosaurs
Head’s up…big things in the work right now, as Audible Underwear will soon have its first affiliate site! More news as it develops.
MVT3K: Kalluri Vaanil
This week, Derek (with the help of a few friends) goes Bollywood in an attempt to become more worldly. Awesomeness ensues. Commentary also ensues.
January Schedule and February Plans
Hey people, hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season! I’m just checking in from my Chicago vacation to drop off the following release schedule. The next two months will be horrifically ambitious, since Music Video Theatre episodes require the largest amount of work on my part and there will be 6 new ones by the end of February!
Jan 5: Top 8 Music Videos of 2009
Jan 12: MVT3K Goes Global
Jan 19: MVT3K “We Stand As One”
Jan 26: MVT3K “Oooga Chaka”
Feb 2, 9, & 23: MVT3K Celebrates Black History Month
Feb 16: Misappropriated Music “Battlefield”
There will also be some extra videos on Thursdays, so feel free to subscribe to our RSS feed! Happy holidays!
Ultimate Warrior Christmas Spectacular!
This is what happens when someone with no drawing skills or Flash experience wants to make a cartoon. I call it Crapimation!
If you do not have any prior experience with the Ultimate one, you may think I’m exaggerating his speech pattern for comedy’s sake. I’m not. The man is like a human version of those magnet poems.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
